25010 is a normative reference
Clause 2 of the draft names 25010 as one of three normative references, with the SQuaRE guide and the measurement framework. Every clause 6 heading is a 25010 characteristic or subcharacteristic.
25010 does not give you a number
The model gives a structure for specifying and evaluating quality. It does not supply the measurement function, the elements or the evidence. That is the measurement division.
The edition matters
The draft follows the 2023 edition. A library indexed to the 2011 edition is measuring a different model, and two of the characteristics changed their names.
They are used together
The scope says the draft is intended to be used together with 25010. A quality plan that cites one without the other is incomplete.

The rules this is built from
Read from the real rules, not invented.
Every line points to the public ISO record or the free preview it came from, so you can check it yourself.
- Read from the real rules
- 63 record pages behind it
- 116 public headings checked
- Check any line yourself
The measure set is read from the public contents; the model table is read from the public 25010:2023 model. Where the draft text is not public, the page says so instead of filling the gap.
