Why the estimate is an estimate
The ISO record carries no publication date. It records a stage, a ballot and a set of dated checkpoints behind the draft. The planning date on this site is 16 September 2027: about about 330 days from the build date, and about 287 days after the expected close of the second ballot. That gap is close to the 280 days between the close of the 25010:2023 ballot and its publication, and close to the 249 days the 2016 edition took. Both of those documents also went through a second DIS ballot and an FDIS, so the comparison is like for like; the estimate is a schedule, not a prediction.
The date is used to schedule work. It does not create a deadline, and it is not a prediction of what ISO will do. The change watch exists because the stage can move and the record should move with it.
The predecessor
ISO/IEC 25023:2016 remains the published edition, 45 pages, at stage 90.92, to be revised. It was last confirmed in 2022 and is still the text in force. The draft will replace it when it is published. The earlier draft designation, ISO/IEC DIS 25023:2026-03, is recorded by the DIN catalogue as replaced by this draft.

Read 22 October 2026. Title, edition 1, 69 pages, stage 40.20 with the DIS ballot opened on 2026-09-10, the earlier DIS ballot and its 2026-08-12 decision for a new ballot, committee ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 7, ICS 35.080, CHF 67, the abstract, and the full life cycle from 2024-08-12. It records that the draft replaces ISO/IEC 25023:2016 and, per the DIN catalogue, the earlier draft ISO/IEC DIS 25023:2026-03.

The rules this is built from
Read from the real rules, not invented.
Every line points to the public ISO record or the free preview it came from, so you can check it yourself.

The measure set is read from the public contents; the model table is read from the public 25010:2023 model. Where the draft text is not public, the page says so instead of filling the gap.
