Safety is new
The 2011 model had no safety characteristic. The 2023 model adds it with six subcharacteristics, and the draft gives five of them measure families.
Two characteristics were renamed
Usability became interaction capability and portability became flexibility. The subcharacteristics moved too, which is why a rename in a measure library is not enough.
Two annexes were added
Application at different stages and measurement uncertainty in the context of ISO/IEC 17025. Both change how a programme plans its evidence.
Four have no family
Functional adaptability, environmental sustainability, user controllability and intervenability are in the model and absent from the clause 6 contents. Whether the General subclauses cover them is not public.

The rules this is built from
Read from the real rules, not invented.
Every line points to the public ISO record or the free preview it came from, so you can check it yourself.
- Read from the real rules
- 63 record pages behind it
- 116 public headings checked
- Check any line yourself
The measure set is read from the public contents; the model table is read from the public 25010:2023 model. Where the draft text is not public, the page says so instead of filling the gap.
