The ballot is the next checkpoint
The ISO record does not yet show the close of the second ballot. Twelve weeks from 10 September 2026 is 3 December 2026, our arithmetic, not an ISO date.
Approval may follow
If the ballot approves the draft for registration as an FDIS, an eight week approval ballot sits before publication. If it calls for another DIS ballot, months are added.
The estimate is bracketed by two cycles
The 2016 edition published 249 days after its ballot closed; the 2023 model published 280 days after its ballot closed. The planning date is about 287 days after the expected close.
It is not a promise
The date schedules work. It does not create a deadline, and the watch exists because the stage can move.

The rules this is built from
Read from the real rules, not invented.
Every line points to the public ISO record or the free preview it came from, so you can check it yourself.
- Read from the real rules
- 63 record pages behind it
- 116 public headings checked
- Check any line yourself
The measure set is read from the public contents; the model table is read from the public 25010:2023 model. Where the draft text is not public, the page says so instead of filling the gap.
